When Paris sleeps, Armand de Vauclaire walks its fog-drowned streets, a gentleman, a duelist, a killer without allegiance. Among the salons of nobles, the backrooms of spies, and the opulent decay of post-revolutionary Paris, loyalty is only another currency, and every truth is paid for in blood.
